Erin Gilley is a theatre artist whose work includes directing, acting, and video design. Bay Area directing credits include: The Unauthorized Autobiography of Kim Deal, Beautiful, Abducted (elastic future); Wreckage (Crowded Fire); Criminal Genius, Making Noise Quietly (TheatreFirst), The Woods, The Mystery at Twicknam Vicarage (Atmos Theatre), The Virgins at Dry Springs (AlterTheatre Company), and Heavy Days (Shotgun Players Lab). She is directing the fourth act movie in Taylor Mac’s The Lily’s Revenge in the spring of 2011 at Magic Theatre. Her previous work with Boxcar was on stage as the BBC reporter and distraught Cat Lady in the collaboratively created production RHINO. She is the founding artistic director of elastic future, a resident artist with Crowded Fire Theatre, and the former Artistic Producer of Magic Theatre, She studied theatre at Princeton University where she was awarded the Frances LeMoyne Page Award for directing. |
