Hedwig, the front singer and would-be glam-rock star from East Germany, undergoes a botched gender-change operation in order to escape from the Soviet bloc, only to watch the Berlin Wall come down on TV after being abandoned in a trailer park in middle America. Hedwig gets involved with Tommy, an adolescent boy who steals her songs and becomes a stadium-filling musical act. Suffering from a broken heart and a lust for revenge, she follows Tommy's tour, playing with her band (the Angry Inch) at tacky theme restaurants.

-Buck Wolf, Weird News

Summer Production Reviews:

-Lily Janiak, SF Weekly

It's Back!

Under the direction of Nick A. Olivero, this cult musical gets a radical face-lift... again. Presented as a two-week limited engagement this past summer with multiple actors sharing the title role, it returns once again with more spectacle. Presented as a 1 hour and 45 minutes no holds barred rock show. If you saw it the first time around you'll want to see it again, and if you missed it, here's your chance to see what audiences were raving about.
